Our Designers

Olivia came in 4 years ago not knowing how to sew, but knowing that she wanted to create fashion from reclaimed fabrics.  Her target buyers are the 20 and 30 year olds who want the simple natural look.  A former accountant Olivia had the courage to quit the 9-5 job to pursue her dream.  She spent 20 hours a week practicing her sewing skills, learning how to make a pattern and pick out fabric suitable for her line of clothing.  There were some setbacks, but Olivia never lost sight of her goal and is working hard on getting to the finish line.

Victoria has been sewing at the City Sewing Room for a year.  Her designs under the brand of Potion23 is a beautiful unique take on 1930's fashion.  She revamps old patterns to fit the modern woman, making stylish tie tops and short sets, jumpsuits, dresses, capes and more.  Victoria can be found at the City Sewing Room anytime she is not working her retail job.

Heather works full time in the business world, but feels the pull to her creative side making glorious hats.  She too loves to share the space with other creative minds, listening to easy music while they all work hard on their unique projects.

What a fantastic place! It’s a real haven for those who sew. Anne is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Today was my first visit. I had great fun, made new friends, and felt very productive. I can’t wait to go back!
