Service Description

In this course, we will sew a modern corset from start to finish. You’ll learn various techniques including; creating boning channels, inserting grommets, developing and stitching bias tape, and more. In class we will create a mock up, fit the mock up and make any minor adjustments needed prior to sewing your finished garment. This class is best for confident beginners to intermediate level sewers. This is a great introduction class to corsetry for those who have little to no experience sewing corsets. Class price includes the below materials: -pattern (please email to provide measurements and select a pattern size) -grommets and tools to set grommets -fabric, trim, and boning (stash that is available at the City Sewing Room, anything specific you want to use will need to be purchased and brought into class) -sewing machine and thread -scissors, pins, needles, and other necessary sewing supplies

In order to give our instructors time to prepare for each class, City Sewing Room requires a 3-day notice for scheduling and cancellation of all adult/high school classes. (5-day notice for kid's classes). We appreciate your understanding.
